Starfish is dedicated to positively impacting the environment of a school, community, business, or home. Over 70% of problems between people are 'put down' related. When this problem is ignored, a person, home or workplace can become unmanageable because the target of the cuts is the human heart, and it can be damaged to the point of unbelievable consequenses.

If you want a great team, simply create a putdown free environment — change the heart and you will change the person or situation. Conflict resolution begins with the elimination of putdowns as much as possible.

No one ever made their own light shine any brighter by dimming someone else's!!

Removing the cutting remarks, putdowns, and tearing attacks from a child's, or any person's, life lets him grow and become a successful story.

The Starfish As the old man walked the beach at dawn he noticed a young man ahead of him picking up starfish and flinging them into the sea. Finally catching up with the youth, he asked him why he was doing this. The young man answered "The stranded starfish would die if left until the morning sun." "But the beach goes on for miles and there are millions of starfish," countered the old man. "How can your effort make any difference?" The young man looked at the starfish in his hand and then threw it to the safety of the waves. "It makes a difference to this one," he said.

To deter but one child from being harassed or put down means you are making a difference and will help that child feel safer and more worthwhile.
